
Matthew White joined Today Tonight from Seven News in October 2008.
He presented the sports segment of Seven News in Sydney, joining Ian Ross and Sara Groen to complete the line-up for the evening news.
Matthew began his journalism career at The Manly Daily newspaper, before moving to radio and joining Newcastle's NEWFM to present breakfast news.
His first move into television came in 1992 when he joined NBN Television as the weekend sports presenter.
After a brief return to radio with Triple M, Matthew joined the sports team at Network Ten as a reporter.
Matthew's natural presence in front of camera was soon noticed and he became the weekend host of Sports Tonight before joining Seven News in June 2004.
Matthew has a diverse sports background having worked on a variety of telecasts including the V8 Supercars, Formula One Motor Racing, the Melbourne Cup, the Uncle Toby's IronMan Series, US Open Golf tournaments and AFL Grand Finals.
In 2004, Matthew joined Johanna Griggs as co-host of Seven's flagship sports program Sportsworld on Sunday mornings.
He was one of the Seven Network's primetime anchors for the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics and the 2008 Beijing Games.
