Vassil is an experienced reporter who has worked across Europe and Australia and is now based in Adelaide.

While studying for his Communications degree in Adelaide, Vassil found work with the Ten Network and quickly developed a taste for working in the media.

After further stints at the ABC's TV newsroom and the Today Tonight program, Vassil headed overseas for a year to cut his teeth in the industry and explore his Greek and Czech heritage. On the Aegean island of Rhodes, he landed work as a reporter and presenter of a current affairs and lifestyle program.

Later in Prague, he worked for the HBO network and Radio Free Europe, until he finally headed back to Australia and commenced work for the SBS World News team in Sydney.

Vassil spent more than 5 years at SBS as a co-ordinating producer and journalist. His work also extended to help establish an online video news bulletin and produce street vision news promos for the Sydney rail network.

Now finally back home in Adelaide, Vassil has joined the Today Tonight team as a reporter.
