
Bryan has experience as both a newspaper and TV reporter and joined Today Tonight in July 2006.
Bryan Seymour joined Today Tonight as a senior reporter in Sydney in July 2006.
Bryan completed his BA (English, Journalism Major) at Curtin University in Perth and went on to become the Editor of The Weekend Examiner, then a reporter for The West Australian.
He moved on to television reporting for the Ten Network, eventually becoming its State Political Reporter.
In 2000, Bryan moved across the Tasman and joined Television New Zealand (TVNZ) in Auckland. During this time, Bryan worked on NZ's major news service, One News, as foreign producer, news reporter and news presenter.
In 2005, he was appointed senior reporter on the award-winning Close Up program, New Zealand's most-watched current affairs show.
His work on Close Up came to the attention of Today Tonight, particularly his story in Fiji about a man named Sujit Kumar, who is now known around the world as "the Chicken Boy".
Bryan has also written for Scoop magazine and The Listener in NZ.
Originally from Marrickville in Sydney's western suburbs, Bryan was raised as a State Ward, but is now living close by his natural family. His interests include spending time with them, reading, writing, music and sport.
