Sheralyn Stansfield won an $18,000 car and is enjoying that new car smell, thanks to a website called Free Stuff Day.

After agreeing to answer questions from marketers, the mother-of-three from Queensland became eligible to win the vehicle.

Similarly, Paul Kudliczak and girlfriend Simone won't need to apply for a car loan anytime soon, as they too were winners.

Members bid on free items, using the points they've earned from participating in consumer surveys. The first to submit an acceptable bid after a product is released takes the prize.

In the five months since the site launched, everything from GPS systems to iPods to Xboxes have been won.

"I can't believe I've won this car and it was just a real buzz," Sheralyn said.
